For most people, the thought of staying positive is generally easier said than done. Do keep in mind, however, optimism maximizes functionality; emotional, mental, and physical health.  Your decision to prioritize optimal level of self-care ensures that you reduce barriers that contribute to a diminished quality of life. Bottom line, if you maintain a healthy lifestyle, you can avoid emotional distress which often leads to physical demise.  


Manifesting the character of a survivor simply means that you have innate ingenuity to function during hardship and adversity. More so, survivor resiliency suggests that the mental capacity is to develop distinct self-reliance.  Self-empowerment is an attitude of survivor-ship and it will change the trajectory of your life. The undeniable truth is that self- reliance highly aligns with personal development and it renders the autonomy to develop a resilient mindset. 

Manifesting empowerment is, of course, a developmental process that requires a certain sense of urgency! Because there is a noteworthy link between resilience and emotional health, it is imperative that you change your attitude towards a transformative disposition.


Because emotions are a wise and tangible language, it is imperative that you take an innovative, holistic approach to reestablishing or re-igniting the mere foundation that has pushed you through.  When you focus on preventative health, you are able to eliminate stumbling blocks that advance impaired mobility and mindset.  Survivor Resiliency starts with safeguarding the essence of (your) psychological resilience. You can do this by employing decisive actions and devoid of adverse thoughts that render crises as insurmountable or unrecoverable. 


So, how do you persuasively develop a resilient mindset to survive, and why is it so important, you ask? 

If you aren’t familiar with the seven fundamental C’s Model of Resilience that underscores “COPING” and “CONTROL” … here they are!  Each “C” is a momentous and pivotal component in that youth, parents, schools, and professionals, alike can manifest sustainable development and overall better emotional, mental and physical health outcomes.   


That said, in order to master the C’s and immerse yourself in the comfort of a survivor – resilient mindset, you must first actualize an intuitive posture of survivor-ship, and then conjoin 7 key principle skills into your daily grind.     

  •  Nurture the belief in an ability to cope

  • Cultivate a forcible attitude of survivor-ship  
  • Stay connected with forward- looking sources of support
  • Consistently inspirit positive emotion
  • Devote support and help to others
  •  Be open to communicate what you are going through.
  • Pursue meaningful purpose that will enrich your overall well-being!

Sustain the adeptness to take a positive perspective on any challenging situation. Meaning, it would be beneficial to regard the situation as a learning moment of truth, or perhaps, focus on the things that you can control. This empowers you to not only survive but to maximize optimal mobility. It is also significant to note here; you should never feel like you have to endure your struggles alone. In fact, that’s what survivor resiliency level of care is all about. Seeking social support coupled with insuring a meaningful presence of mind are the quintessential factors that contribute to emotional and survivor resilience. An elevated survivor accepts adversity as a part of life AND is always in pursuit of self-discoveryrelianceRESILIENCE.
